The market survey which is used to determine the COLA for FY 2012-2013 has been completed and a COLA of 3.3% has been posted and will appear on member's paychecks effective July 1, 2012. This is a definite improvement over the past 2 years.

Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lost his life in Memphis, Tenn., where he had gone to support striking sanitation workers in their fight to get the city to recognize their union, AFSCME Local 1733.
Today, AFSCME is helping to raise the funds to build a memorial to him on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The groundbreaking occurred Nov. 13, 2006, and the dedication is scheduled for 2008.
